Supply Chain Specialist, Procurement

As we move from design into builds, we need someone who can run the full purchase-to-pay cycle: issuing POs, tracking commitments, managing logistics, and making sure suppliers and invoices are handled cleanly, while giving Finance and leadership a clear, real-time picture of where our money is going.You'll sit at the intersection of Hardware, Finance, and Technical Program Management, and partner closely with Business Development and our planning team. This role starts hands-on and transactional, but grows with the company: first standing up our spend and procurement systems, then owning material planning against commitments, and ultimately helping shape how we communicate supply strategy to executives and suppliers alike.What You'll Do Here:Own the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process using procurement tools to ensure POs are issued based on lead times, track logistics including reverse logisticsEngaging with sourcing, engineers, suppliers, and finance partners to keep all stakeholders aligned, requirements and update are documented, obtain approval for POGenerate and maintain periodic reports, provide accurate supply chain data to the leadership team for strategic decision making, supplier performance and customer commitments, document changesProactively identify and escalate supply chain risks to ensure timely mitigation and prevent delays to critical build schedulesWork closely with Business Development, Finance, and Sourcing to keep procurement aligned with program schedules and budget, adapt to updatesMaintain meticulous, audit-ready documentation within spend-management platforms to support financial transparencyHelp define scalable procurement processes and policies as MatX grows from prototype builds to volumeWho You Are:5+ years of experience in procurement, logistic, or material management in hardware, electronics, semiconductors as a plusHands-on experience issuing POs, managing supplier logistics, and driving invoices to payment; you know how to work a purchase-to-pay cycle end to endProficient with procurement tools of purchasing and spend-management platformsAttention to detail, able to manage complex supply chain data and reports with AI toolExcellent communicator who is comfortable talking to suppliers, engineers, finance partners, and executives, and would rather pick up the phone than let an issue sitComfortable in a fast-moving startup where priorities shiftThis is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our Mountain View, CA office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday)What We OfferTime off: 4 weeks PTO (accrued) + 12 company Holidays + up to 3 weeks remote workHealth: Company-subsidized Medical (Kaiser or Anthem) for employees & dependents, Guardian Dental and Vision insurances for employee & dependents, and life insurance (employee only), plus HSA and FSA offerings via Lively.
