Operations Manager

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually Location: Grand Prairie, TX (on-site) Reports To: General Manager At Local Crafts, we're the creative force behind some of the most beloved names in crafting - Connecting Threads, Superior Threads, Knit Picks, Crochet.com, Berroco, Madelinetosh, and Jimmy Beans Wool. From our own workshops to trusted partners around the globe, we design and curate the products makers reach for every day: the fabrics, threads, yarns, and tools that turn ideas into finished pieces. Our Texas distribution center is the engine that gets those products into makers' hands. As Fulfillment Operations Manager, you'll be the operational backbone of that engine - leading the team, owning the floor, and partnering with our GM to scale a facility that keeps multiple beloved brands running. This is a real operations role. You'll be in the mix daily, solving problems, building accountability, and making sure every order ships accurately and on time. What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of associates and leads - hiring, coaching, and holding the bar on performance Own daily fulfillment operations from pick and pack to ship, making sure the floor runs efficiently every single day Drive throughput, accuracy, and on-time delivery performance - and use the data to know where to push Manage labor planning, workflow design, and staffing to keep pace with volume Control shipping costs and lead continuous process improvement across the operation Build a team culture grounded in ownership, accountability, and showing up for each other Maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment where people can do their best work What You'll Bring 5+ years leading warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution center operations Proven experience managing large hourly teams including frontline leads and associates A track record managing high-volume shipping operations with measurable results Equal comfort on the floor and in the metrics - you lead from both places A bias toward action: you spot problems fast, solve them decisively, and don't wait to be told Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred) Experience with warehouse and inventory management in NetSuite (or a comparable ERP/WMS platform) You’ll Thrive Here If You treat the operation like it's yours because to you, it is You're the kind of leader your team remembers because you were actually there You'd rather fix the root cause than patch the symptom You get energized by moving fast in an environment that's still being built Additional Information This is an on-site role at our Grand Prairie, TX facility, reporting directly to the General Manager.
