We are looking for a highly driven individual that will assist in the daily functions of the Maintenance Department. We offer competitive wages, benefits and Attendance Bonus. Additionally, you will...* Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as hoist motors, pumps, belts, fans, air conditioners, conveyors, etc.* Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.* Disassembles machines and repairs and replaces broken parts.* Uses all types of power tools and hand tools* Adjustment of functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary* Keeps work area clean; observes all safety procedures* Interprets blueprints, works from sketches or verbal instructions* Maintains all types of forklifts and keeps in operating condition* Contributes to the design and fabrication of production fixtures and racks* Carries out preventative maintenance program for all production equipment, mechanical devices, building and land, including maintaining maintenance records and preventive maintenance checklists.* Basic working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.**What it takes***Required Qualifications** High School Diploma or GED equivalent* Minimum three (3) years of previous experience in general maintenance* Significant electrical work to repair or maintain company equipment.* A working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.* The ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, welding layouts, schematics, and complex electro mechanical assembly and/or erection directions.* Must have a high awareness for safety at all times* Perform and/or assist with maintenance tasks according to production needs to minimize downtime.* Support manufacturing demands including working during non-peak hours (e.g. off shifts, holidays, weekends, etc. as required/assigned.* Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work both in a non-temperature controlled environment and outdoors.* The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment* The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner* Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results* Other duties as required and/or assigned.*Highly qualified candidates will also possess:** Five years of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment* Five years of previous experience with overhead crane operations* Five years of previous experience operating a forklift* The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues* The ability to recognize hazardous substances and to know basic employee responsibilities for chemical safety**All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.**By submitting this form, you have not officially applied for a position with Valmont.**Benefits**Valmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family's overall wellness needs are met.
