Job Responsibilities
- Craft Custom Therapy Plans: Assess patients' needs to create tailored intervention strategies that help them accomplish their personal goals
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply proven therapeutic practices to boost patients' motor skills, cognitive function, and daily activity performance
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work hand-in-hand with OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nursing staff to provide thorough, patient-centered care
- Educate Patients and Families: Teach patients and their caregivers about effective therapy methods to promote ongoing improvements at home
- Track Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure patients remain on track
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Continuing education and post-graduate certifications encouraged and facilitated
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required
- A genuine commitment to helping others and a strong desire to enable individuals to achieve their highest degree of independence
- Effective, empathetic communication skills with patients and team members
- Adaptability to creatively solve problems and modify strategies to meet diverse needs
- Confidence to work autonomously and as part of a tightly-knit interdisciplinary group
