Position Overview Job Title: Cath Lab Radiology Technologist Location: Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center Department: Cardiac Cardiovascular Center Work Schedule: Variable, 12‑hour shifts, Monday‑Friday with on‑call/standby rotation. Pay: $60.59 – $79.97 per hour Appointment Type: Career; 60% Full-Time Key Responsibilities Operates digital radiological imaging equipment in accordance with Title 17 regulations and departmental protocols. Performs and oversees quality control procedures and maintains radiation safety compliance. Scrubs, monitors, and circulates during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and OR Hybrid Room. Assists nursing staff in preparing patients for procedures and ensures proper functioning of all imaging and interventional equipment. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy and hemodynamic monitoring. Records procedural events and performs hemodynamic calculations. Operates digital processing equipment and maintains quality control standards. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assists with patient transportation as needed. Fulful on‑call responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications California Radiology Technologist – Fluoroscopy (CRT‑F). Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)). BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain ART within 6 months. At least 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Knowledge of computers and imaging technology such as CR and DR. Working knowledge of RIS and HIS. Training in another modality allowing cross‑coverage during normal or unexpected scheduling issues. Ability to deal tactfully with people and develop good working relationships. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology scrub experience. Special Conditions Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, call (diagnostic and/or surgery) and some overtime. Employment subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical. Must be able to wear lead apron. Compensation Annual full pay range: $126,512 – $166,977 (prorated for appointment percentage). Hourly equivalent: $60.59 – $79.97. Policy and Requirements Vaccination: Must comply with University of California vaccination policy. Must have hands‑on life‑support certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, etc.).
