Our specially trained staff works hand-in-hand with physicians to provide the right products and the correct dosage to ensure patients get the compassionate care they need.POSITION SUMMARYLeads troubleshooting and repair efforts on commercial grade heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and multi-zone systems. Perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation and alteration of plant heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities; perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESComplete troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems that incorporate digital and central energy management system controlsDevelops heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system modification plans and helps plan jobs for modificationsCreates preventive maintenance checklists for new equipmentInterprets as-built building blueprints and recommends system modifications for remodel projects in accordance with applicable regulationsResearches and selects materials for HVAC systems installation, repair, and maintenanceEnsure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesPerforms all maintenance related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenanceAbility to use hand and power tools applicable to tradeAbility to develop heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system modification plansAbility to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety proceduresAbility to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manualsDocuments and tracks preventive maintenance activitiesKnowledge of mechanical systems, building materials, and emergency maintenanceDetailed knowledge of HVAC systems that incorporate digital control systems and are linked to a multi-building, computer-based Energy Management and Control System (EMCS)Carry out mechanical and electrical inspection and maintenance on equipment to bring them to optimal performancePerform oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning of equipment, greasing, and other specific preventive maintenance workDetermine service requirements by applying technical skills and experience, including system operations and preventive maintenance experienceServe as a company representative to other contractors, owners, and tradesGive preventive maintenance inspections performed to supervisors and suggest corrective actions to be appliedComplete and submit needed paperwork in a timely manner to the Maintenance leadPerform other functions that may be assigned by the Maintenance Lead or managerPossess great mechanical aptitudeStrong ability to read and understand technical instructions and follow blueprintsStrong communication skillsStrong knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods commonly applied in repairing air conditioning and heating equipment in commercial and residential buildingsStrong knowledge of principles of operation of air conditioning and heating systems, and safety practices concerning HVAC workStrong ability to diagnose equipment and determine if repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.Strong ability to perform assigned tasks independentlyPossession of the current EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferredADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of trades experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedHas completed formal HVAC training either through an academic program or apprenticeshipMust be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV) and eligible to work in the USMust be able to pass a background screeningPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 100 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistanceMust be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasksMust be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditionsMust be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)Salary will be commensurate with experience.
