YouthPoint Health is currently seeking a Youth and Family Therapist to work 18 hours per week. YouthPoint Health is a collaborative program of JUHSD & the San Mateo County Health Services Agency. The center provides comprehensive, integrated, school-linked behavioral health and education services to children, teens, young adults, and their families, dedicated to transforming their lives through evidence-based care. Our services include primary medical care, mental health counseling, health education, and substance use prevention. With a variety of services conveniently located in one building, our integrated model allows us not only to bridge the gap between behavioral and physical health but also to assist families with food and housing security, vaccination and testing, and other resources.

The Youth and Family Therapist performs assessments, counseling, outreach and case management to teens and young adults, under the direction of the Behavioral Health Manager of the Daly City Youth Health Center. Individual and group supervision is provided for Associate MFT, Associate LPCC and ASW. The therapist will outreach and promote counseling services to teens and young adults, especially with the Latinx community.

Education and Experience Required: Experience with at-risk youth and their families. Experience with youth with a history of trauma, abuse, mental health disorders. Licenses and Other Requirements: Licensed MFT, LCSW and LPCC preferred, Associate MFT. Associate LPCC and ASW considered. Valid California Driver's License. Must have reliable transportation to commute to/from high schools and community settings. Ability to: Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Initiate projects and work independently under general direction. Work with people in a variety of work settings, including office and schools. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships in a team oriented environment. Multi-task and coordinate competing priorities. Plan and organize work. Maintain reliable, consistent, punctual attendance.

Responsibilities: Conduct short-term and long-term individual, family, couples, and group counseling sessions. Screen and assess referrals from parents, teachers, DCYHC staff, County Mental Health, and other agencies. Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records on clients in accordance with local, state, and federal legal and professional requirements. Complete necessary documentation for Medi-Cal billing, evaluation, and case management purposes. Communicate and consult with appropriate DCYHC medical staff, staff at schools, county agencies, and other community agencies, and parents or family members. Participate in community meetings (such as North County Outreach Collaborative and Latino Collaborative) as DCYHC representative to promote programs and community collaboration. Conduct presentations at schools and community-based organizations as needed. Assist Behavioral Health Manager as needed (such as assist in training and supporting interns). Salary: This is a grant-funded, benefited, Range B, Jefferson Union High School District position, $28.15-$49.08/hour depending on experience and education, plus additional license stipend ($0.63). Length of employment/hours available is dependent on secured grant funding and case load.
