Shipping Receiving Clerk

Pay Rate $18.00/hour to $19.00/hour Hours Mon to Thur 6pm to 5am Duration 8 Months with potential to Convert to Perm Location Houston, TX

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving
• Sit Down forklift experience required
• Positive attitude and team player
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Safety Oriented
• Dependable
• Able to communicate effectively

Responsibilities:

Job Duties:

• Unload incoming shipments from trucks
• Inspect received material
• Load outgoing shipments onto trucks
• Order picking and preparation
• Verify shipment and packages according to information on purchase orders
• Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift
• Responsible for daily count of inventory
• Maintain the shipping and receiving area organized
• Perform other duties as requested

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor production processing via QC audits
• Conduct necessary quality inspections using proper equipment and techniques
• Conduct statistical analysis on select processes and report findings
• Assist with problem solving root cause analysis corrective actions
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results
• Ensure incoming materials are in compliance to required specifications
• Ensure outgoing products are in compliance with required specifications
• Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks
• Assist with training and instruction for production operators in QA measuring procedures
• Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions
• Audit and maintenance of compliance to required quality management system standards
• Provide management with detailed quality reports as required daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
