Job Description
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Hours per Shift: Start times 6am or 7am or 8am or 9:30


Experience: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent is required.
License: Required licenses include Radiologic Tech in the state of practice.
Certifications: Required certifications include American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Fluoroscopy license in state of employment.


Must-Have:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) is required.


Description:
Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians.
Positions and instructs patients prior to examination.
Adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.
Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
Prepares equipment for use as needed.
Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
Positions patients for imaging exams.
Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
Produces diagnostic images.
Documents exam information.
Reports important information to the physician.
Verifies exams on PACS.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
