Candidates must be committed to clinical work and teaching in the area of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Requirements include the completion of a residency in Adult psychiatry. Completion of a Fellowship in Consultation Psychiatry is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Attend on the C-L teaching service at Ronald Reagan Medical Center and on the C-L service at Santa Monica Hospital (not at the same time). Potential for other outpatient clinical commitments. Opportunity to build an outpatient faculty practice. Eligibility and Qualifications Must hold an M.D., D.O., equivalent medical degree and be board eligible or certified in Psychiatry. Must possess a valid California Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration certificate. Completion of a residency in Adult psychiatry. Completion of a Fellowship in Consultation Psychiatry is strongly preferred. Candidates are encouraged to complete a CL Fellowship and be board-certified or board-eligible for CL Psychiatry by the time of hiring. The posted salary range reflects only structured service commitments (e.g., number of months on each C-L service and other structured clinical commitments). There is flexibility in workload distribution, along with an opportunity to build an outpatient faculty practice (potentially earning income above the established salary range by seeing patients through the faculty practice plan).
