The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5/Scale 7. The salary range for this position is $134,700 - $411,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description

The UCLA Department of Ophthalmology invites applications for a full-time, tenured faculty position at the level of associate or full professor in vitreoretinal diseases and disorders with primary clinical activities at Stein Eye Institute, Doheny Eye Centers-UCLA and affiliated hospitals. The successful candidate will be considered for appointment to the Dolly Green Chair in Clinical Research, a permanent endowed chair in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Applicants should be dedicated to teaching, exemplary patient care, professional activities, creative contributions to administrative, academic or research activities, and service to the University and to the profession. Candidates must be board eligible in ophthalmology and immediately eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.

Basic qualifications

Applicants must have received all of their medical school education from and graduated from a school recognized by the Medical Board of California.

Applicants must have completed an accredited residency training program in ophthalmology.

Applicants must have completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery.

Additional qualifications

Board eligible in ophthalmology.
