We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee plant maintenance operations, supervise maintenance personnel, and ensure the reliable and efficient operation of production equipment and facilities. This role will lead preventive maintenance programs, manage maintenance schedules and parts inventory, reduce equipment downtime, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in food manufacturing maintenance, proven leadership experience, and the technical knowledge needed to support equipment reliability and continuous operational improvement. This position works 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve maintenance programs and special projects to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance mechanics while providing guidance, training, and support.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules, plan maintenance projects, and assign tasks to team members.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs across production departments to minimize equipment downtime and repair costs.
• Manage parts inventory, including spare parts availability, inventory levels, and inventory costs.
• Monitor maintenance expenses and identify opportunities to reduce labor, material, and inventory costs.
• Establish performance expectations, provide feedback, and evaluate employee performance.
• Identify training needs and support employee development.
• Monitor maintenance operations, prepare performance reports, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Support foreign object prevention programs and ensure compliance with product specifications and food safety requirements.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices, applicable regulatory requirements, and Safe Quality Food standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the maintenance shop and other work areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, electrical schematics, PLC diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and scheduled instructions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and related calculations.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to estimate labor requirements, analyze data, identify problems, establish facts, and develop effective solutions.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
