Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), plays a critical role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This position partners closely with business leaders to provide actionable financial insights, develop financial models, analyze performance trends, and support budgeting and long-range planning processes. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and the ability to communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.Position reports into our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid schedule in office Tuesday - Thursday.Overview of ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & ForecastingLead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes for assigned business areasSupport the development of annual operating plans and long-range strategic plansAnalyze key business drivers and financial assumptions to improve forecast accuracyDevelop scenario analyses and sensitivity models to support executive decision-makingFinancial Analysis & ReportingPrepare and distribute monthly financial performance reports and executive dashboardsAnalyze variances between actual results, forecasts, budgets, and prior-year performanceIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting financial performancePresent findings and recommendations to business partners and senior leadershipBusiness PartnershipServe as the finance business partner for assigned departments and functional leadersProvide financial guidance to support operational and strategic initiativesAssist business leaders in evaluating investments, cost savings opportunities, and resource allocation decisionsChallenge assumptions and provide objective recommendations to improve financial outcomesModeling & Strategic SupportBuild and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, capital investments, pricing, labor planning, and strategic initiativesSupport business case development and ROI analysis for projects and investmentsEvaluate financial implications of new programs, partnerships, and growth opportunitiesProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting efficiency, and financial systemsAutomate reporting and analysis through advanced Excel, Power BI, Workday/Adaptive or other analytics toolsSupport enhancements to planning and reporting systemsPromote best practices in financial modeling and financial governanceQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, or related rolesStrong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with financial planning systems (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive, SAP BPC, Oracle EPM)Strong communication and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferredExperience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, predictive analytics, or generative AI tools to enhance or improve financial forecasting, scenario planning, reporting automation, and business decision supportExperience using AI-enabled tools (Microsoft Copilot, Power BI AI capabilities, Python, Azure AI, Databricks, or similar platforms) to improve financial analysis and reportingExperience supporting retail, consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution businessesProficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other analytics toolsExperience working with large datasets and ERP systemsBenefitsIn addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
