Folder Line Operator

Job Description Position Title: Folder Line Operator Wage: $22.50/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Thursday) QPS Employment is seeking Machine Operating candidates for a printing company in Mayville! This is a 1st shift opportunity and enjoy a three-day weekend with this Monday - Thursday position. Apply today to get started! Folder Line Operator Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders to determine and confirm exact set up specifications including color, model, quantities, etc. to ensure job meets quality requirements
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the Folder Line machine
• Perform machine set ups including attaching printing plates on printing cylinders
• Change rolls, dies and gears per work order
• Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments during production run as necessary
• Perform routine maintenance as necessary
• Monitor quality which includes checking measurements
• Inspect and pack product before advancing to shipping or other departments
• Maintain machinery in working condition by performing routine and scheduled maintenance
• Produce expected levels of throughput
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements for Folder Line Operator:

• High School Diploma preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least two years of printing operations experience in a manufacturing environment
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Keen eye for color
• Ability to use hand tools
• Experience with machine operation and setup
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to solve practical problems and handle an ever-changing number of variables related to folders
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, and schedule-based instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret a ruler
• Basic computer experience
