Experienced Shift Leader – Jersey Mike’s Subs Jersey Mike’s Subs is hiring an experienced Shift Leader for our day shift! We’re looking for a dependable, energetic, and experienced restaurant professional who knows how to lead a team, provide outstanding customer service, and keep a busy restaurant running smoothly. Restaurant experience is required. This is a leadership position, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable taking charge, coaching team members, maintaining high standards, and leading by example. Responsibilities Lead and motivate team members during daily shifts Provide friendly, fast, and accurate customer service Ensure sandwiches and other menu items are prepared according to Jersey Mike’s standards Assign tasks and keep team members productive throughout the shift Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe restaurant Handle opening and/or closing shift responsibilities Assist with cash handling and register procedures Monitor food quality, portioning, and product freshness Help train and develop new and existing team members Handle customer concerns professionally Support management with inventory, prep, and daily restaurant operations Set the example for teamwork, urgency, cleanliness, and hospitality Requirements Previous restaurant experience is required Previous shift leader, key holder, supervisor, or restaurant leadership experience is strongly preferred Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts consistently Strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to coach and hold team members accountable Must understand the importance of food safety and restaurant cleanliness Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal restaurant duties What We’re Looking For The right candidate is someone who doesn’t need to be constantly supervised.
