CORA's Clinical Services Division is currently seeking a Part-time Substance Use Counselor to provide counseling services to adults, youth and children and/or their families where substance use has been identified as problematic.

Starting hourly pay: $25.25 (pay rate is commensurate with education and experience)

In addition, as a Substance Use Counselor, your duties will include:

• Provide individual, group and family counseling to appropriate clients at the treatment level of care.
• Assess level of treatment need and initiate and facilitate appropriate referrals for clients as needed; advocate with and for clients for access to appropriate level of care placements.
• Work collaboratively as part of the service team in the implementation of the service/recovery plan with the goal of retaining or re-engaging the client in service; conduct psychoeducational/ life skills group programming with an emphasis on resiliency skills as collateral support for the client’s service/recovery plan in the community.
• Provide additional supports to clients through recovery case management contacts/activities ; identify and connect clients to recovery resources and supports in their communities; maintain an awareness of community resources and facilitate client/family access to appropriate resources and services necessary to support/supplement direct services and recovery action.
• Participate in regular team consultations with CORA and other Agency staff as indicated to provide service updates and collaborative planning.
• Maintain minimum productivity expectations for client sessions on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Adhere to Agency and regulatory entity guidelines concerning caseload requirements, service delivery, accountability, supervision and confidentiality.
• Participate in all necessary interdisciplinary functions and meetings.
• Generate/prepare all required statistical reports/funding/regulatory database entries in a timely fashion. Input client services into electronic health records in accordance with agency and funding source timeframes.
• Adhere to training requirements established by Agency or other regulatory entities.
• Perform other professional functions as defined by Administrative/Supervisory Staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling, or other appropriate helping profession and documented experience in treatment or intervention counseling service. 
• Working knowledge of the effects of substance use essential; one year experience in substance use treatment setting preferred.
• Must be pursuing CDAC or licensure.
