Position Summary

Simply Therapy MHC (mental health center) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health services to clients across the lifespan. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others, committed to ethical practice, values collaboration, and professionalism.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy.
• Complete timely, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation.
• Maintain client records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Assess suicide risk, provide crisis intervention, and develop safety plans when necessary.
• Coordinate care with physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and other providers as appropriate.
• Participate in clinical consultation and supervision as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and Pennsylvania laws, regulations, and professional ethical standards.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with state licensing board requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and FBI fingerprint-based criminal history check.
• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• Current Pennsylvania license in good standing as one of the following:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to independently assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Excellent verbal, written, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in computer applications and technology necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including electronic health records (EHR/EMR), telehealth platforms, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), secure email, and other clinical documentation and communication systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants are encouraged to apply.
• Experience providing telehealth services.
• Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, and mood disorders, and others.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Candidates must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including obtaining credentials from CBH, before their first day of employment.
• Applicants are expected to begin the credentialing process promptly upon receiving a conditional offer of employment. The credentialing process may take up to two (2) months to complete.
• Employment and the anticipated start date are contingent upon successful completion of the CBH credentialing process and all other required pre-employment screenings, verifications, and onboarding requirements.

Compensation

• Therapists are paid a flat rate $50 per completed session
• A standard billable therapy session must meet the required minimum duration of 53 minutes
• Once the 53-minute requirement is met, the therapist receives the full $50 session rate , regardless of whether the session extends beyond 53 minutes
• Straightforward, predictable per-session compensation
• Opportunity to increase earnings by building and maintaining a consistent caseload

*Our $50-per-session rate is designed to be highly competitive within the Philadelphia-area behavioral health market, where comparable fee-for-service and contract therapist positions commonly advertise rates in approximately the $40–$45 range.
