RN EMERGENCY ROOM - Night Shift Full Time - HPAE RN Professional Secaucus, NJ, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 3060 Salary Range: $59.00 To $63.00 Hourly Job Specific Competencies Central Line Catheter care Performs venipuncture, IV infusion therapy and pump usage Wound care assessment, documentation and wound prevention protocol as per policy Completes Plan of Care. Initiate, review and resolve based on diagnosis and history Completes assessments and reassessments and required documentation accurately and timely Renders appropriate nutritional care including enteral + parenteral therapies Medication administration which includes critical medications and evaluates response Adheres to infection prevention protocol including but not limited to hand hygiene, PPE and universal precautions Administration of blood and blood products Able to perform chest PT, oral, naso, tracheostomy, endo, and tracheal suctioning Activates Core Measures and Septic Protocols as indicated Reports critical Lab, Radiology, EKG, ABG values to MD according to policy Interprets cardiac monitor rhythm and performs appropriate interventions Identifies and responds to emergency situations Proficient in ventilation management and pulmonary support Demonstrates proficiency in life support; code blue and Rapid Response Adapts to varied age specific patient populations; e.g. infant, toddler, adult, etc. Identifies concomitant health and social needs of patients Ensures proper discharge instructions and medication reconciliation including follow-up referral Assists with bedside interventional procedures Uses Emergency Severity Index (ESI) tool appropriately in triage Activates ER Nursing Protocols appropriately Education + Experience Requirements BS in Nursing. Valid NJ state RN License.
