Strategic Sourcing Leader - MRO  – $110,000-$150,000 + Bonus- Addison, TX (Onsite, Monday- Friday)

We're looking for a  Strategic Sourcing Leader to join a well-established industrial MRO distributor with more than 60 years of success. This is a newly created position, giving you the rare opportunity to build a strategic sourcing function from the ground up rather than inherit someone else's process.

Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you'll lead a team of three buyers and a data analyst while helping the business move beyond day-to-day purchasing toward a true strategic sourcing model. You'll have the freedom to influence supplier strategy, improve inventory planning and create sourcing roadmaps that will support ambitious growth for years to come.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of three buyers and a data analyst.
• Build and implement a strategic sourcing model focused on total cost of ownership.
• Develop category strategies with one-, three-, and five-year sourcing roadmaps.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and secure favorable commercial terms.
• Build strong supplier relationships while maintaining multiple sourcing options.
• Partner with Product Management throughout the product lifecycle.
• Use data and analytics to improve forecasting, inventory planning, and product availability.
• Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, tariffs, and supply chain risks.
• Manage total landed costs across sourcing categories.
• Present sourcing opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and performance reporting to senior leadership.

The Person

To succeed as a  Strategic Sourcing Leader , you'll bring proven strategic sourcing experience within a high-volume distribution environment or a manufacturing business managing thousands of SKUs.

You'll also have:

• Five or more years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Previous leadership experience with direct reports.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience developing category strategies and leading end-to-end sourcing initiatives.
• A data-driven approach to forecasting, inventory planning, and business decision-making.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP and inventory management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• A bachelor's degree and procurement certifications are preferred but not required.
