About the roleChime's Growth Engineering team builds the member-facing experiences that move our business metrics, and we're scaling fast. We're looking for a full stack engineer who wants to own features end to end: the React and TypeScript interfaces members actually touch, the Rails services and APIs behind them, and the experiments that prove the work paid off. You'll influence architecture, ship across the stack, and maintain the ongoing health of the code.The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $164,000 and up to $227,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. In this role, you can expect toDesign, develop, test, refactor and scale consumer product features end to end — from member-facing React/TypeScript interfaces through the services and APIs that power themBuild strong, resilient APIs and partner with mobile engineers on the contracts behind our React Native appRapidly prototype and launch A/B tests, then use the results to decide what ships, what iterates, and what gets killedOwn the quality of what you ship end to end — page performance, funnel conversion, accessibility, and the instrumentation that tells you it's workingCollaborate with product, design, data science, and marketing to understand member pain points and come up with solutionsProactively identify opportunities for improving the reliability and scalability of our systemsWork across the engineering team to improve and uphold high technical standardsTo thrive in this role, you have5+ years developing software in a production environment at scaleProven experience with a modern front-end framework (React or comparable) and a server-side framework (Ruby on Rails or comparable)Comfort with TypeScript and component-driven UI developmentExperience working with transactional databases and caching, and with client-side state and performanceExperience running experiments — A/B tests, feature flagsExposure to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applicationsGrowth or consumer experience as an added plus #LI-Onsite #LI-AC2A little about usAt Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress.
