About the Role

You'll write the code that turns developers discovering the product into developers who can't live without it.

This is a full-stack engineering role pointed entirely at growth: you'll own the signup, activation, onboarding, and conversion experience, and you'll be measured on the funnel metrics you move, not just the features you ship.

You'll instrument, experiment, build, and iterate on the product surfaces that drive the company's PLG motion. You'll own real conversion outcomes from day one.

What You'll Do

• Own the growth surfaces end to end: signup, activation, onboarding, and conversion.

• Instrument the funnel, run experiments, and ship changes that move real metrics.

• Build full-stack, from the frontend a developer first touches to the backend that powers it.

• Treat conversion and activation as your numbers—you own them, measure them, and move them.

• Work close to the data, form hypotheses, test them, and iterate quickly on what works.

What We're Looking For

• 5–12 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, including hands-on growth work as an IC at an early- or growth-stage startup.

• You're a strong full-stack engineer who's worked on growth or PLG products.

• You've personally owned a conversion, activation, or funnel metric and moved it—not just shipped features someone else measured.

• You think like a scientist: hypothesis, experiment, measure, iterate. You've run real A/B tests and can discuss what you learned, including when they didn't go as planned.

• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js .

• You've worked on developer-facing products such as SDKs, playgrounds, APIs, or other developer tools and understand how developers actually adopt products.

• You're comfortable operating without detailed specs and have the product judgment to help determine what should be built.

• You use modern AI coding tools as part of your regular engineering workflow.

• You have a track record of staying with your work long enough to see it through.

• You move fast and close the loop—you'd rather ship, measure, and iterate than perfect something on paper.

Nice to Have

• Experience shipping in-product growth surfaces at a developer-tools or SaaS company, such as onboarding, activation, upgrade flows, or in-product guidance.

• Experience with Tailwind, Vercel, PostgreSQL, Python, SQL, or product analytics tools.

• Experience building with LLMs in production, including prompt engineering, tool use, or inference pipelines.

• Experience with LLM APIs.

• Experience building internal tooling adopted by growth or product teams.

What We're NOT Looking For

• A growth marketer—this is an engineering role that writes production code.

• A pure frontend or backend specialist without full-stack ownership.

• Someone who's only shipped features without owning the outcome.

• A marketing-site, SEO, content, lifecycle, CRM, or GTM operations profile.

• A research or platform engineer without strong product instincts.

• A pattern of short stints or primarily contract-based work.

Location

This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area . Candidates must currently live in the Bay Area or be willing to relocate.

Interview Process with the Hiring Company

After being introduced to the hiring company, selected candidates can expect the following interview process:

1. Intro Chat – 25 minutes
   A mutual introductory conversation covering your background, recent work, what you're looking for next, and questions about the opportunity.

2. Technical & Growth Chat – 50 minutes
   A deep dive into a growth feature you've built end to end, including how you scoped it, built it across the frontend and backend, measured the results, and iterated.

3. Paid Work Trial – 1–2 weeks
   A hands-on paid trial where you'll ship a real growth project to production. The team evaluates quality, speed, communication, autonomy, and your ability to scope and deliver end-to-end work.
