Our Facility Attendants are responsible for the necessary overall upkeep around the warehouse during the week under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. The Custodian is responsible for the necessary overall upkeep in and around the warehouse, as well as the offices, bathrooms and common areas during the week. While on the job, you will learn how to operate a powered floor scrubber, become familiar with the layout of the facility, all while maintaining a safe and clean work environment for all. You will also be required to work in multi-temperature environments on occasion for short periods of time, some of which reach subzero. Custodian/Facility Maintenance Attendant Salary Pay for this position starts at $18/hr to $22/hr based off experience with the opportunity to earn annual performance-based raises and eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Custodial Job Experience Preferred 1 year in maintenance and janitorial cleaning services. Education Requirements High school or higher Custodian/Facility Attendant Responsibilities Include This custodial job at Ginsberg’s requires the ability to lift up to 80 lbs and the following tasks: Cleaning and general maintenance of the facility, inside and out per the cleaning schedule Assist in cleaning pallet locations, warehouse floors, walls and doors Assist with corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance needs Regular warehouse floor maintenance: sweep, mop and operating a powered floor scrubber Empty, clean and dispose of all waste and recycling contents Identify and report building and equipment repair needs Participate in the completion of building repairs and special projects Observe all safety, product handling and security guidelines and follow Safety HACCP procedures Ensure all checklists and required records are completed in a timely fashion Additional Custodial Job Responsibilities Addresses immediate cleaning issues (spills, safety concerns, etc.). Maintains inventory of maintenance, operational and janitorial supplies. Performs Warehouse Associate tasks when requested or required. Performs cosmetic facility repairs including painting, wall/floor repairs, etc. Assists in cleaning the exterior of the facility and grounds. Supports in the performance of all cleaning and janitorial duties. Satisfactorily completes ongoing training requirements.
