Job Description

As a Handyman, you will play a crucial role in preparing vacant units for new residents by performing tasks such as drywall hanging, painting, floor repairs, and light electrical work. You will ensure that the property maintains high safety and quality standards, monitor for any safety or curb appeal issues, and complete service requests promptly within 24 hours. Your responsibilities also include closing out work orders in the system, assisting with snow removal and salting during winter months, and participating in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs. You will ensure units are rent-ready and pass final inspection, track and maintain inventory of parts and supplies, and assist with ordering materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including drywall hanging, painting, floor repairs, and light electrical repairs.
• Maintain property condition to meet safety and quality standards.
• Monitor property for safety or curb appeal issues.
• Complete service requests accurately and on time (within 24 hours).
• Close out all work orders in the system.
• Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.
• Ensure units are rent-ready and pass final inspection.
• Track and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
• Assist with ordering materials as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with electrical, drywall, plumbing, and landscaping.
• Proficiency in turnover processes.
• Ability to perform light electrical, HVAC, and plumbing tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Landscaping Experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 1st shift schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at the Georgetown Apartments in Williamsville, NY. You will be part of a team consisting of three maintenance technicians and participate in a week-long on-call rotation. The role offers competitive pay that can increase depending on experience.

This is a Permanent position based out of Williamsville, NY.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Williamsville,NY.
