Fleet Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a senior Fleet Manager for a growing paving company. Salary: $100K – $125K annually. Company provides a truck, phone, and gas card. Responsibilities Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of our fleet of heavy construction equipment. Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and longevity. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations. Develop and implement strategies for fleet replacement and disposal. Coordinate with project managers to ensure equipment availability and readiness for all construction projects. Manage the selection, purchasing, and registration of new equipment. Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall fleet efficiency. Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives related to fleet management. Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless fleet operations. Provide regular reports on fleet operations to senior management. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fleet management, preferably within the construction industry. Proven experience managing a large fleet of heavy construction equipment. In‑depth knowledge of local, state, and federal fleet regulations. Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in fleet management software and related technology. A degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
