Composite Mechanic
Our client, an Aerospace company, is looking for a Composite Mechanic for their Wichita, KS location.
Responsibilities:
- Employees can perform the critical functions of the composite's mechanic including:
- Operate impregnating, perforating, cutting, roll form, press and curing machines, and testing equipment in the fabrication of composite materials and core details in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Load, unload and operate ovens and autoclaves in the curing of parts and assemblies.
- Operate portable repair/bonding equipment to accomplish rework, repair or change incorporation on completed assemblies = moisture removal, double vacuum debulk, overlay repairs, apply precured patches, secondary bonding, edge trimming, sanding, heat blankets, scarfing, thermal cure, and ply repair of less than 400 square inches.
- Disassemble and prepare assemblies to accomplish rework, repair or change incorporation on completed assemblies.
- Other directly related duties as requested and required.
Requirements:
- Must have composite experience in aerospace
- 3 Axis CNC machining experience
- Computer skills
