We’re here to challenge the snacking status quo—while every team member helps deliver safe, high‑quality products.Role OverviewAs the Production Operations Supervisor, you provide hands‑on leadership across the entire line—from the potato room through final packaging. You own the daily plan, safety, and plant KPIs, directing workflow and staffing to consistently hit run rates, yields, and quality targets. You build a capable, engaged team by setting clear expectations, coaching, and ensuring every operator and technician is fully trained in equipment operation, chip processing, documentation, and food safety. You uphold an audit‑ready floor by enforcing GMPs, sanitation, and documentation discipline.A Day in the RoleReview the production plan and daily scorecard; assign people and tasks to meet demand.Realign headcount and line assignments based on skill, volume, and changing conditions.Walk the floor to spot risks that could trigger downtime; alert the Production Manager, Maintenance, and leadership the same day—immediately if urgent.Troubleshoot equipment, process, and material issues, collaborating cross‑functionally to keep run rates on target.Lead People and PerformanceModel accountability for performance, attendance, safety, and culture in alignment with the Jackson’s Chips Employee Handbook.Set expectations for Leads and Operators and hold the team to consistent follow‑through.Conduct coaching conversations; document performance concerns; partner with HR and the Production Manager on corrective actions when needed.Train team members on chip processing steps, equipment operation, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.Develop Production Leads to support daily operations and coach operators.Maintain training records, skills matrices, and certifications for all team members.Food Safety, Quality, and DocumentationKeep areas audit‑ready through cleanliness, organization, food safety, and environmental safety.Enforce GMPs, allergen controls, metal detection procedures, and contamination prevention.Ensure precise completion of batch records, quality checks, metal detector logs, sanitation verifications, and downtime reports.Verify paperwork accuracy and completeness before submitting to Production Control or Quality.Complete all electronic entries (ERP, downtime tracking, yield reporting) on time and accurately.Materials, Metrics, and Continuous ImprovementManage raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to the production schedule; escalate concerns or variances to the Production Manager.Oversee material movements and ensure proper handling and return of raw materials to the warehouse.Monitor waste, oil usage, scrap, and yields; drive corrective actions when targets are missed.Confirm products meet specifications—slice thickness, color, oil content, seasoning levels, and packaging integrity.Partner with Quality on deviations; implement corrections and preventive measures.Advance 5S, root‑cause problem solving, and standard work.Support engineering with qualification/validation of new equipment via “ready to operate” processes.Provide feedback on equipment performance, operator usability, and training needs.ScheduleIndividual will work a varied schedule based on client needs.QualificationsSupervisory background in food manufacturing; potato chip or snack experience preferred.Proven ability to lead teams, set standards, and drive accountability.Strong command of GMPs, food safety systems, and audit readiness.Experience with ERP, production documentation, and inventory control.Skilled in training, coaching, and developing Leads and Operators.Excellent communicator who remains calm and professional in a fast‑paced setting.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university with 1–3 years related experience/training; or an equivalent combination.3–5 years in food manufacturing, ideally in a supervisory capacity. #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
