This role is primarily focused on trust, estate, and fiduciary tax work, while also contributing to day-to-day client interaction for individual and business tax engagements. Essential Functions: Prepare complex trust, estate, fiduciary tax returns within minimal supervision. Assist with estate and trust planning strategies. Research complex trust and estate tax issues and apply findings to client situations to ensure accuracy/implementation of specific tax law. Work directly with high-net-worth individuals, family groups, advisors on trust and estate matters. Support preparation of individual tax returns and, to a lesser extent, corporate, partnership. Analyze financial statements and records to identify planning opportunities and reduce tax exposure. Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Communicate proactively with clients regarding project status, documentation requests, and planning considerations. Collaborate with internal teams and leadership on client service strategy and engagement planning. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Master’s degree in accounting or taxation or related field. Minimum 5 year’s accounting and tax experience with a focus and exposure to trusts and estates. Experience with a variety of income tax filings; e.g. trust, individual required; S-Corp/Partnership a plus. Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information. Ability to meet time constraints and client deadlines. Ability to work overtime from January - April 15 (may be in excess of 55 hours per week). Occasional overtime work required throughout the year. Ability to multi-task and manage a complex workload to meet reporting deadlines.
