Neuroscience Sales Representative (Detroit, MI) - Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine

Job Responsibilities Drive sales performance following compliance guidelines, ensuring sales forecasts are met or exceeded in the assigned territory by calling on primary care and selected primary care targets in both in‑person and virtual settings. Develop superior product and disease‑state knowledge to effectively educate and engage healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on‑label prescribing. Effectively use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Function independently to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations. Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, routinely sharing this information with relevant internal stakeholders. Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/regions and select appropriate programs/resources for each customer, practice, and/or system. Provide special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs that align with ethical guidelines. Work with District Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives. Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialist‑II’s on common objectives and best practices. Provide timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting. Meet or exceed all NSR deliverables. Create and build a compliant business plan based on depth and breadth of customer business needs, resources, and products. Complete all company and job‑related training as assigned within required timelines. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record. 1+ year documented success in B2B sales; experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, and/or medical device sales preferred. Antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales experience a plus. Strong desire and passion for improving patients' and caregivers' lives; patient‑centric mindset. Integrity and adherence to Company Compliance policies and procedures. Strong self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent decision‑making judgment, strong teamwork and cross‑functional skills. Track record of learning and adapting to evolving environments such as Covid‑19 to overcome obstacles. Agility and adaptability to changing telemedicine/virtual environments. Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify new opportunities. Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences. Work hours may include meetings outside normal working hours. Territory may require overnight travel; some domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings will be required periodically.
