Role Description The Member Service Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This position is responsible for assisting members with everyday banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, account openings, and inquiries about products and services. The role involves handling phone and in-person inquiries, resolving member issues promptly, and providing accurate information about accounts, loans, and credit union policies. The Member Service Representative will process documentation, update member records in the system, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures. This position also supports cross-selling appropriate financial products and services to meet member needs and contributes to a positive, professional branch environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact effectively with diverse member populations. Candidates should possess professional Phone Etiquette and the ability to manage inbound and outbound calls efficiently. Candidates should possess solid Computer Literacy, including experience with basic office software and banking or CRM systems. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Finance, with the ability to learn credit union products and explain them clearly to members. Relevant skills and qualifications include attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, integrity in handling confidential information, and a collaborative approach to working within a team. Prior experience in a credit union, bank, or customer-facing financial services role is preferred but not required.
