Commercial Lines Support & Accounting Specialist - Hybrid (West Chester, OH)

Overview A dual‑function role combining commercial lines new business, sales support, and accounting/billing responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assist Marketing Coordinator and Risk Advisors in all stages of the new business process for commercial lines. Gather underwriting information, prepare applications, compile submission materials, and coordinate marketing with carrier partners. Organize new business meetings, virtual presentations, proposals, sales follow‑ups, and required documentation. Use small business carrier platforms such as quote, bind, issue systems and partner with carrier service centers. Support client onboarding to the small business service team (EPIC account setup, policy screen creation, certificate of insurance template, client portal, digital delivery). Coordinate internal onboarding meetings and maintain client relationships through superior customer service. Handle support for billing questions, cancellation processes, and general inquiries; collaborate with internal partners. Post daily paid premiums, agency‑bill and direct‑bill commission statements, and agency EFT deposits. Deposit checks and process client payments via EPIC. Follow up weekly on aged receivables, maintain current follow‑up state, and ensure bi‑weekly statement mailing. Manage billing and document delivery for agency‑billed renewals and endorsements for both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines, including specialized or itemized billing. Perform quality control review of policy billing screens and confirm PR/BR commission agreements. Assist Office Administrator with front desk coverage, office operations, and supply management; maintain EPIC logs. Participate in continuous training, professional development, and process improvement; contribute to a hybrid team culture. Qualifications & Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required; four‑year college degree preferred or 2+ years of relevant experience. 1–3 years of Accounts Receivable or Collections experience preferred; general accounting experience preferred. Demonstrated ability in client service and account management. Property & Casualty insurance license preferred or obtainable within 90 days. Experience with agency management systems; Applied EPIC strongly preferred. Work Skills Strong client‑service orientation and business acumen. Clear, professional written and verbal communication. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Hybrid in‑office and remote work; dedicated workspace and reliable internet required for remote work. Sedentary role with frequent computer use; occasional movement within office to access resources. Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $25.00–$33.65 per hour, dependent on skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on performance.
