Truck driver

We are a transportation company based in Akron seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over long distances typically between states or countries. You will operate a heavy‑duty truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Responsibilities Transport goods and materials over long distances usually between states or countries Operate a heavy‑duty truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Maintain accurate logs of driving activities Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers and other drivers Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues before and after trips Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel Adhere to company policies and procedures Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with good driving record At least 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver Ability to operate heavy‑duty trucks in a variety of weather conditions Good communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus High school diploma or equivalent education level Physical stamina and ability to spend long hours on the road Attention to detail and good time‑management skills Benefits Competitive salary starting at $1,600 per month may increase based on experience Accommodation provided for out‑of‑town drivers Opportunities for career advancement within the company #J-18808-Ljbffr
