Property Damage Mitigation Technician

Picture your day: a call comes in at dawn about a burst pipe in a small business. You arrive with your crew, walk the site with the customer, map moisture, set air movers and dehumidifiers, and begin controlled demolition to stop secondary damage. By afternoon, you’re on a fire cleanup—carefully removing charred materials, documenting conditions, and leaving the space safe and stable. Every shift brings new challenges—and the satisfaction of helping people recover faster.

What you’ll do

• Mobilize quickly to residential and commercial losses (water, fire, storm, and more) to stabilize structures and begin mitigation.
• Carry out selective demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup under the guidance of project leaders.
• Deploy, monitor, document, and demobilize drying/dehumidification equipment to IICRC-quality standards.
• Follow company procedures, jobsite safety rules, and quality controls at all times.
• Provide courteous, professional service and clear communication to customers on every visit.
• Join a rotating on-call schedule for evenings/weekends to support emergency response.
• Work closely with teammates and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hands-on construction or restoration experience is a plus, not a must—we’ll train the right person.
• Comfort using smartphones/tablets and job apps for photos, notes, and documentation.
• A service-first mindset—focused on empathy, reliability, and quality results.
• Availability for rotating evenings, weekends, and emergency assignments.
• Great team communication and collaboration skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and routinely lift up to 65 lbs.
• Fluent in English; Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus.
