The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to, credentialing, bylaws, and reports to the National Practitioner’s Data Bank. This role also involves supporting the faculty physician group on various legal matters and, where applicable, partnering with the University of Oklahoma legal department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, with experience in both a law firm and in-house legal department, and a preference for those with a background in healthcare and experience working with healthcare providers. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of 3-10+ years of experience in employment law and litigation, with a strong academic background. The role requires a current attorney license and bar affiliation in the State of Oklahoma or the ability to obtain a license to practice in the State within twelve months. The Associate General Counsel will be expected to work closely with the Medical Staff Office and various state healthcare and licensing boards. Experience in healthcare and a background in working with healthcare providers is highly valued. The position is based in Oklahoma City and is an onsite role with in-office attendance 5 days a week.
