$2346.00/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized intensive care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU setting. Deliver evidence-based nursing care, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Responsibilities: Assess and monitor critically ill patients using standard clinical tools such as CAM, CPOT, and RASS. Manage complex cases including patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and trauma of varying severity. Administer care involving hypothermia treatment, pleurevac chest tube drainage, and use of PCA pumps. Follow strict isolation precautions, hand hygiene protocols, and hospital SOPs to ensure patient and staff safety. Document patient status accurately in the electronic medical record system, specifically EPIC. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for care planning and patient management. Qualifications: Hold a BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school. RN license valid in New York State or eligible via reciprocity. Minimum of 3 years intensive care experience preferred. Possess or be willing to obtain ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications prior to start. Demonstrate proficiency in trauma, hypothermia, and critical care management. Ability to work every other weekend and holidays; must complete de-escalation certification.
