Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Atlantic City, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The RN will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to patients in a 26-bed ICU setting with a focus on trauma, stroke, and neuro elective procedures.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies including central lines, PICC lines, and arterial lines.
• Perform respiratory interventions and manage ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results, including arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Coordinate care and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and social services.
• Participate in patient education and support families during critical care processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in NJ or Compact license.
• At least 2 years of experience in critical care nursing.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Cerner/PowerChart charting system preferred.
