Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Schedule Days: 8 hours M-F, with flexible times as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation. Job Description The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions, providing rehabilitative treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders. Under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist, the PTA will administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan. Responsibilities Provide skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Administer a variety of rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities. Assess patient progress and communicate findings with the supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments. Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records. Participate in patient care conferences and other required meetings related to rehabilitation. Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist. Adhere to APTA and state required practice acts and ethics during professional practice. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required. Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings is required. Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license is required at the time of submission.
