Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS certification and 2+ years of recent relevant experience for a general sonography role.

Details

• General diagnostic sonography unit performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures of moderate complexity
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM
• No call requirements
• EPIC and PACS system exposure preferred

Requirements

• ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must possess at least two of the following: Abdomen, Breast, Fetal Echocardiography, OB/GYN, Pediatric Sonography, or RVT certification
• 2 years of recent relevant sonography experience required
• CA state license required if applicable
• Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
• Experience responding to traumas and hospital emergencies preferred
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems such as RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining sensitive information to diverse audiences
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple tasks and interruptions

• Perform routine and specialized sonography exams to support diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patients
• Build effective working relationships with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams
• Ensure patient privacy and PHI protection in accordance with regulations and policies
• May orient other staff or perform specific specialized procedures
• Accepts local candidates at the local rate
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
• Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
