As a Security Officer Patrol in Cape Canaveral, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Position Type : Full Time Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule : Mon‑Fri, 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and/or visitor access in accordance with site procedures, helping to support controlled entry to restricted areas. Communicate with site contacts, coworkers, and/or first responders regarding alarms, disturbances, medical events, and other security‑related matters while following post instructions and escalation protocols. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
