Ready to join in? We are seeking a full-time Appointment Coordinator experienced in Independent Medical Exams (IME) and Worker's Compensation (WC) to be based at our corporate office in Westchester, IL. This position is primarily responsible for working with patients/physicians/callers in a polite and helpful manner to book appointments for all seven orthopedic offices, enter demographic data, insurance information, and any other relevant information into the NextGen and Athena system. In-person training will be conducted onsite at the corporate office in Westchester, IL. Candidate will have the ability to work remote after training is completed. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Work with patients/physicians/callers in a polite and helpful manner to book appointments enter demographic data, insurance information and any other relevant information into the NextGen and Athena system. Reschedule patient appointments when necessary and relays messages to staff.
- Follow up on patients who are missing necessary information.
- Answer telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
- Maintain and update current information on physician's schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
- Supplement office staff when requested and is receptive to additional assignments/projects as delegated by supervisor.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors and physicians, especially when receiving feedback or direction.
- Assist staff members when necessary in a positive and professional manner to ensure the patients receive the utmost in care.
- Perform work with accuracy to minimize error correction by other staff members.
- Double check data entry to ensure the correct information has been entered into the NextGen and Athena system.
- Organize and prioritizes work to make sure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay abreast of and complies with all state and federal laws including HIPAA, ADA, OSHA, and FLSA.
- Adapt to change in positive and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Operate basic office equipment such as a computer, phone and fax machine.
- Multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Work and communicate with patients, physicians and staff in all levels of the organization.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Call center experience is a plus
- Plus a minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Experience in Worker's Compensation (WC) and Independent Medical Exams (IME), strongly preferred.

Pay Range: $23.00 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
