Role Overview: Onboard and train staff to provide Youth SUD assessments, and admissions, Individual therapy, support groups, harm reduction education groups, crisis services, SBIRT and relapse prevention. Train and support staff to communicate with courts, other treatment providers, CPS and other community service providers as needed. Review, provide feedback and endorse SUDPT created progress reports, case notes, benefit requests, and other related documentation. Provide oversight of client services provided by SUDPTs. Assures quality program mission, goals, and objectives are met. Assures program manager is thoroughly informed in all aspects of SUD treatment. Clinical Supervision: Provides consultation & supervision to SUD clinicians providing Youth SUD services to include evidence-based practices, case planning with collateral systems, coordination of treatment planning with families, outside systems and the treatment team. Review and approve SUDPTs generated services in Valley Cities Electronic Health Record. Assure the SUPTs that he/she supervises completes accurate evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries and other necessary reports and correspondence related to client care. Train Youth SUD clinicians to integrate treatment for clients with co-occurring disorders, including using motivational interviewing, SBIRT and harm reduction strategies. Adhere to current Valley Cities Behavioral Health standards and practices. Direct Service: Provide Youth SUD assessments to individuals, support groups, education groups, crisis services and relapse prevention as needed. Provides treatment and case management services to youth clients who have substance use disorders and possibly, a co-occurring disorder (MH and SUD diagnoses). Ensures a strong recovery, wellness and hopeful environment for Substance Uses Disorder clients. Provides integrated care to meet the person’s individual needs. Assures quality treatment services are provided to clients that are in line with the program mission, goals and objectives. Works with program managers to assure quality clinical service and contract performance through direct clinical work. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to colleagues, clinical staff and interns regarding youth substance use disorders and treatment, family role/dynamics about SUD use, case status, joint case planning with collateral systems, coordination of treatment planning with family, outside systems and treatment teams. Assure quality clinical services and appropriate utilization of services. Provide consultation and support Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainees (SUDPTs) staff to earn their SUDP certification. Assist Program Manager in the implementation of youth substance use disorder interventions consistent with team consultation and treatment goal in a Trauma Informed environment Periodically attend SUD groups to provide helpful feedback to staff to increase service effectiveness. Provide regular one-on-one clinical supervision. Demonstrates a commitment to self-care and encourages self-care of staff. Direct Services: Continue clinical skills, develop expertise in EHR. Use experience to encourage systems enhancement. Maintain the structure of Outpatient Youth SUD programing to remain in conformance with WAC’s, RCWs, and County Contracts and support SUDPTs in maintaining the same. Supervise daily activities of Youth SUD clinicians providing education on best practices in working with youth with substance use disorders and Co-Occurring Disorders. Assure Youth SUD staff complete accurate evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, closing summaries and other necessary reports and correspondence related to client care. Review and approve services generated by SUDP/SUDPTs. Provide consultation & supervision to SUD clinicians providing Youth SUD services to include evidence-based practices, case planning with collateral systems, coordination of treatment planning with families, outside systems and the treatment team. Perform appropriate assessments, admissions and referrals aiding when needed to site based Youth SUD staff as needed. Must provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a Substance Use Disorder Professional and Clinical Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: BA Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field required, MA preferred Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification 3 years of experience working as a SUDP Clinical Supervisor certification and one year of Clinical Supervision and training experience desired Current Driver’s License Pass required background checks Join our Team!
