American Fabricated Products (AFP) is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are looking for talented CNC Operators who are passionate in their field of expertise, enjoys working as part of a team and are committed to helping us become a leader in manufacturing.

As a CNC Operator you will

• Set up, adjust and operate CNC machines according to work orders and specifications with minor programming
• Use cranes (over head / jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s)
• Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans and verify correct run quantities
• Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required
• Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine’s operating time
• Filling out production data using Job-Boss ERP System
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow organizational practices

Who are we looking for? Someone who has

• High school diploma
• 1 year of experience as a CNC Machine Operator
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints. Use calipers, micrometers, go no-go gauges, etc.
• Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity
• Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
