Location: Fishers, IN

Position Overview

\n

A well-established civil construction contractor is seeking an Estimator / Project Manager to manage projects from initial bidding through completion. This role combines estimating, project management, customer relationships, and field coordination across roadway, bridge, grading, drainage, and related construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Review plans and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, develop cost estimates, and submit competitive bids.
    • \n
  • Obtain pricing and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
    • \n
  • Manage awarded projects, including schedules, budgets, documentation, and cost control.
    • \n
  • Review contracts, change orders, billing, and collections.
    • \n
  • Coordinate with field superintendents, project leadership, customers, and vendors.
    • \n
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and support project execution.
    • \n
  • Promote jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
    • \n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Experience estimating and managing INDOT, municipal, highway, or commercial construction projects preferred.
    • \n
  • Working knowledge of INDOT specifications or ability to learn quickly.
    • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
    • \n
  • Experience with digital takeoff software preferred.
    • \n
  • Knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJob is a plus.
    • \n
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
    • \n
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
