Business Development Engineer

Business Development Engineer is a highly motivated, collaborative professional responsible for supporting the growth of Holtec’s global business portfolio. This individual will analyze and interpret technical requirements, clearly communicate complex technical information in both written and verbal formats, and establish strong, long‑term relationships with prospective clients across the energy industry. Location Camden, NJ Primary Responsibilities Support the Business Development team by conveying technical and commercial information to potential clients, both verbally and in writing. Lead the entire proposal development lifecycle, including both technical and commercial content. Analyze RFPs to interpret client needs, assess technical requirements, and propose tailored solutions and win themes. Create structured outlines to ensure proposals are compliant and responsive. Coordinate internal assignments and collaborate with subject matter experts to develop proposal sections. Write and edit high‑quality technical proposals that align with customer needs and expectations. Develop commercial proposals and spreadsheets to capture commercial and pricing information. Manage the post‑proposal process by addressing clients’ needs through contract execution. Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients in the energy industry. Continuously update knowledge of company products and industry trends through training and self‑study. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience 1 to 7 years of relevant experience in business development or engineering Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to clearly convey complex technical and commercial concepts Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently Skilled in technical writing and document development Proactive and accountable team player with a high standard for quality Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Willingness to travel (approximately 10%) for client meetings and industry events Eligible for unescorted access to nuclear power plants.
