About the Role We are seeking a Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success team. In this role, you will engage with customers post‑sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform, helping companies drive digital transformation and competitive differentiation. Responsibilities Work throughout the entire project life‑cycle to define, design, develop, and implement custom software and AI solutions using the Appian platform for commercial clients. Collaborate with clients to define business processes and gather functional and technical system requirements. Participate in agile ceremonies and apply pair programming, stand‑ups, planning sessions, and sprints. Design and launch relational data models and develop APIs (REST, SOAP, JDBC) for system integration. Brainstorm AI use cases and implement Appian’s AI tools (retrieval‑augmented generation, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, generative models). Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout development to drive adoption and enable clients to build process applications. Qualifications 1+ year hands‑on software development or technical consulting experience. Proficiency in object‑oriented programming, relational database design, and SQL. Experience with agile development practices and test‑driven development. API integration experience (REST, SOAP, JDBC) and familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, AI, analytics, and machine learning concepts. BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field. Willingness to travel up to 20% for customer engagement. Compensation Base salary range: $75,000–$125,000 per year. Compensation may include discretionary bonuses, equity awards, and depends on experience, skill set, and market conditions.
