Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more. We hope you are as excited about this opportunity as we are.Essential FunctionsModel factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key performance indicatorsCalculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraintsApply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goalsWork with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growthImprove factory safety and work cell ergonomicsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.QualificationsBachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional SkillsPrior experience working in a Lean environment with demonstrated understanding of Lean principlesData mining & manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, Power BIRequires strong oral and written communication skills to include experience creating and facilitating presentations and writing technical reportsExperience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods/language (Siemens PlantSim, ProModel, Python)Proficiency in Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints methodologies and toolsChange management skills – a self-motivated change agent with bias for action and a sense of urgencyKnowledge of manufacturing and assembly processesExperience using Microsoft Office products and AutoCad
