If you're energized by building what's next, we'd love to meet you.About You:We are looking for a Homeowner Business System Analyst who is accountable for the management and translation of business projects into engineering requirements. As a member of the insurance business team, this position works closely with Engineering to accurately portray business project needs into clear engineering deliverables.What You'll Do:Work with other members of the Insurance Product and Engineering Teams supporting our core projects related to rating, underwriting, forms, and business rulesUpdate various internal and external documents which outline the project needs into clear engineering instructionsMaintain daily communication with Engineering partners to ensure projects are completed by set deadlinesMaintain source of truth and library documentation on existing programming structuresPerform post production testing to ensure completeness and accuracy of product changesMeticulously create and update various engineering-oriented programming files that serve as source of truth for our product offeringsAssist with defect resolution by performing individual policy look ups and problem solvingMust Haves:Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business or analytical disciplineThree or more years of experience in a related business systems analysis and technical implementation roles within the Personal Lines Insurance sectorAbility to partner with and understand both insurance business and technical platform engineering conceptsStrong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in ExcelExperience writing engineering product tickets that outline business needs Nice to Haves:Prior experience with a Top 20 Personal Lines Homeowners writerPrior Homeowner Insurance experienceA solid understanding of Personal Lines InsuranceExperience with SQL, Jira, Confluence, VBA Editor tools Benefits and PerksHippo treats its team members with the same level of dedication and care as we do our customers, which is why we’re fortunate to provide all of our Hippos with:Healthy Hippos Benefits - Multiple medical plans to choose from and 100% employer covered dental & vision plans for our team members and their families.
