Collections Specialist II

Abbott seeks a Collections Specialist II for its Heart Failure business in Lake Mary, Florida. The role focuses on resolving denied claims, managing accounts receivable aging, and coordinating with payers and patients to optimize revenue cycle performance.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex denied claims and manage appeals processes
- Monitor and reduce accounts receivable aging
- Follow up with third-party payers on outstanding claims
- Collect payments directly from patients
- Perform reconciliation activities and generate compliance reports
Requirements
- 3+ years healthcare revenue cycle or collections experience
- Strong knowledge of payer guidelines and coding fundamentals
- Proficiency with billing platforms and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage complex denied claims and appeals
Compensation: $17.15–$34.25/hour
