Title: Kilwins East Village Team Lead (PT)
Must be available for various shifts.
Location : 3500 E Parmer Ln, Unit 3120, Austin, TX 78754
Kilwins Austin at East Village is looking for a part time team lead for our new location, to oversee daily operations, lead teams of junior staff, and help bring handcrafted joy to our community. Training provided.
Hours : 10-25 hours per week
Pay : starting at $15 per hour, plus tips (estimated at $2-3 per hour)

Kilwins Chocolate, Fudge, and Ice Cream is a celebrated confectionery brand, beloved for its handmade chocolates, rich original-recipe ice cream, and signature fudge crafted fresh daily in-store. At Kilwins, we don’t just sell sweet treats; we create them!
About the Store:
At Kilwins Austin, we offer a delicious experience with chocolates, original recipe ice cream, and a variety of made-in-store treats including hand-paddled fudge, caramel apples, brittles, caramel corns, and more. Guests will see—and smell—the magic being made fresh daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management : Hire, train, and motivate a strong team of associates on delivering friendly, memorable service.
• Store Operations : Manage day-to-day functions including store cleanliness, production prep, and compliance with Kilwins brand standards.
• Product Management: Ensure adequate amounts of product are on display, they are placed according to brand standards, and maintained. Learn to make products at a high quality.
• Customer Experience : Lead by example in providing excellent service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
• Reporting & Communication : Provide regular updates to the assistant managers and owner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to operate transactions in an accurate manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Must be customer service oriented with outgoing personality and manners.
• Ability to follow directions/instructions.
• Our store is casual, but we do expect professionalism and punctuality.

Qualifications:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience : At least 1 year of retail or restaurant experience. Key holder experience preferred. Leadership experience (whether in or out of a work environment).
• Leadership Skills : Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Business Acumen : Proven ability to learn new tools and adhere to business processes.
• Customer Focus : Dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Availability : Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based upon agree-upon constraints at time of hire.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in retail store or training environment
