Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Texas-licensed Emergency Medicine physicians for a locum tenens assignment across multiple sites in Austin, Leander, Pflugerville, Manor, and Georgetown. This role offers the chance to work within well-established emergency departments in diverse community hospital settings, providing critical care to a broad patient population.

• Active Texas medical license required
• ABEM or ABOEM certification preferred; candidates with 1-3 years of EM experience considered
• No “days only” providers; shifts include day, night, and swing

Schedule Details

• Shifts vary by location, including early mornings, evenings, and overnights
• Typical shift times range from 5a-2p, 9a-6p, 12p-9p, 4p-1a, 7p-4a, 10p-7a, 6a-3p, 10a-6p, 2p-11p, 5p-2a, 9:30p-6:30a, 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 6a-3p, 2p-10p, 8p-2a, 9p-6a
• Approximately 30 shifts per month across all sites

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Management of a broad spectrum of emergency cases in a Level 4 trauma environment
• Collaboration with APCs, nursing staff, and consulting services
• Documentation within Meditech EMR
• Disposition, transfer, and discharge coordination as appropriate

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license
• ABEM or ABOEM certification preferred; candidates with 1-3 years of EM experience considered
• ACLS and ATLS certifications required
• 5 years of eligibility for ABEM/ABOAEM candidates; recent EM experience preferred
• Supervision responsibilities include APC oversight
