Job Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
• Board certification or fellowship training required
• Active physician license eligible for practice in Texas
• ECFMG and FLEX credentials as applicable
• At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience preferred
• Comfort managing pediatric cases and neuraxial/regional anesthesia techniques
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities in the anesthesia department as needed
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and review patient history before procedures
• Obtain and verify informed consent
• Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and plans with patients and families as appropriate
• Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor physiological status throughout procedures and respond to changes as needed
• Support safe, efficient care across general, neuro, ortho, OB, and pediatric case types
• Collaborate with CRNAs and the anesthesia care team to promote high-quality patient outcomes
